In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the Americas, Sulzer has opened a cutting-edge, high-performance pump facility in Mexico. This new site represents a significant investment designed to meet the growing demand for critical fluid engineering solutions across key sectors such as energy, water, and chemicals. The facility is located in Cuautitlán Izcalli, right next to Sulzer’s existing manufacturing plant. This co-location creates an integrated campus where production, assembly, testing, and packaging occur close together. At the heart of the new site is a state-of-the-art hydraulics test bed, a powerful piece of engineering that plunges 10 meters deep.

Importantly, this advanced equipment can handle flow rates of up to 23,000 cubic meters per hour. It allows Sulzer to rigorously verify pump performance under real-world operating conditions. In addition, a sophisticated digital testing system complements this physical capability. This ensures that every pump is carefully measured and validated against the highest industry standards.

Following the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, guests toured the facility and witnessed the new equipment in action.
