AI-powered vehicle inspections are stepping into everyday dealership operations as Cox Automotive’s vAuto and UVeye introduce their new joint technology to the market. The companies announced the launch ahead of the NADA Show, where they plan to show how automation can speed up appraisals, improve accuracy, and reduce delays for dealers.

The partnership began in August 2025, and both companies saw strong results during early testing. UVeye’s inspection data flowed directly into vAuto’s appraisal, pricing, and inventory tools. This helped 125 users acquire more than 850 vehicles with automated support. Now, the two companies are expanding these capabilities so more dealers can use the system to create quicker retail-ready vehicles.

Dealerships that use both platforms will also gain access to upcoming bundled solutions. These tools aim to reduce friction, shorten cycle times, and bring more transparency to every step of the process, reflecting broader trends in industrial automation control, and the companies believe the integration will help dealerships make decisions faster and with greater confidence.

The joint system is already live at Brickell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Miami. Jonathan Noda, the dealership’s general manager, said the integration arrived at a time when the market demands faster choices. He explained that the system lets his team scan a vehicle, check its condition, and make an instant offer before the customer leaves. That advantage, he added, has helped the dealership stay competitive during tight market conditions.

UVeye’s technology scans a vehicle’s exterior, underbody, and tires in only a few seconds. It then produces clear images and standardised reports, eliminating guesswork from inspections. This data now feeds into vAuto’s tools, enabling dealers to shorten appraisal times and expedite the transition of vehicles to retail status without delay. It also supports better service-to-sales workflows as AI-powered vehicle inspections help teams make more informed inventory decisions.

According to Derek Hansen, Senior Vice President at Cox Automotive, AI is changing the way dealers work. He said real-time condition data helps teams act earlier in the service lane and identify strong acquisition opportunities. He also said transparent data improves the customer experience because it brings clarity to every step, from inspection to price discussion.

UVeye co-founder and CEO Amir Hever also believes the partnership offers a major step forward. He said the goal is to turn AI inspections into instant action so dealers can work with greater clarity and speed. He also expects the system to support service, sales, and wholesale processes while helping teams operate more efficiently.

The two companies will show the new capabilities during live demonstrations at the NADA Show in Las Vegas from February 3 to 6, 2026. Visitors can observe the full workflow, from vehicle intake in the service lane to retail readiness. Demonstrations will take place at both the Cox Automotive and UVeye booths.

More joint solutions will arrive through 2026 as the companies deepen their integration. They plan to expand tools across the Cox Automotive portfolio to streamline operations and support faster decision-making. The partners also aim to keep improving how dealers handle appraisals, photos, inspections, and merchandising.

AI-powered vehicle inspections could become standard as dealerships face increasing demands for speed and accuracy. The partnership between vAuto and UVeye may speed up a broader shift toward automated, data-led decisions across the industry.
